She has not disclosed much information about her husband. On May 30, , Amy and her husband welcomed their daughter, Addison Danielle, by a surrogate who was 7-pound, 6- ounce. She lives in York County with her husband, daughter, and a cat. Unfortunately, she returned to Pittsburgh without covering any course.
Luckily Amy managed to graduate with a degree in broadcast journalism from Point Park University. While at the university she loved team sports, opted for softball, lacrosse, and field hockey. She also participated in a one-half marathon and gained a Fantasy football trophy too.

Amy almost became a schoolteacher, since the highly competitive world of broadcasting scared her! She wrote and recorded a fake newscast on a small recorder, prior to transferring it to a CD.
Then, she forwarded the CD to a start-up cable station, located just an hour away from Pittsburgh. She cleared the interview and they hired her! After a year, she relocated to Bridgeport in West Virginia, wherein she learned to photograph, anchor, edit and produce overnights. Lutz has also been an employee of Fox 43 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, since July Amy does an astounding amount of volunteer work with people of all ages belonging to diverse backgrounds!
Horses, figure skating, boating and camping are some of her other passions. In her spare time, she practices professional photography.
