Tiny recently sat down for an interview with DJ Vlad to talk about her career and family, sharing a few stories about Xscape and what went wrong.
She explained that leading up to their longstanding rift, their egos played a role in pulling them apart as did outside influences. When asked about fights, Tiny said they only had two real ones. Prior to joining Xscape, LaTocha was performing in a girl group called Precise. LaTocha started singing at a very young age.
She grew up in Atlanta where she would compete in talent shows and perform at weddings. In , she explored a career as a solo artist. According to the Broadway singer, she always thought differently from the other members of the group. They had different views on business and music. This was one of the causes of conflict in the group. In , rumors about an Xscape reunion spread. This was as a result of their Great Xscape Tour. However, Kandi Burruss cleared the air about the supposed reunion.
According to her, they were just trying to protect their legacy as a network was trying to create an unauthorized movie about them.
