Why do people hate usher

One thing in particular stood out in the episode. Usher discussion of his ex-wife Tameka Foster. It seems that every time her name is mentioned it burns a hole in the hearts of women across the world. I still am confused as to why there is so much animosity towards this woman. Even Usher acts as if he wants to denounce her existence and their marriage at times. What baffles me the most is that it seems that Black women were the ones who were the most disgusted by his choice in Tameka. COnfession is reaching what 5 million?

It's just that the industry is hurting so much that anything selling over 2 million is a landmark now. As for his music. And Sell quickly. Non of the songs will be remember two years from now because it's far from treading any new ground. And definitely not anywhere near as arrogant as Prince was at his age.

Well I agree with you about the breaking barriers thing. But you have to remember the industry fuels these thing way more now. They need an album to sell 5 million plus like anything now, so they are going to do whatever they can to do it. As well as print every single thing he says. I don't think he's arrogant, I think he's the perfect marketing Label's Puppet.

Even before he sold a lot of records he would do his little scripted poses and twirling of the hats in front of cameras, he's always being caught between saying his name the regular way USH-ER as opposed to what I guess the labels says is cooler,,, USHAh.

He's doing the superstar thing to it's max. I'm the biggest Prince fan, but Prince did the same things. You're right he didn't do interviews but when he did he said some cocky things. Like when an interviewer compared him to Jim hendricks. Rhondab said: some of ya'll are old heads It's specifically an "I hate Usher" thread. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Aww man, come on. This is definitely a different kind of cocky. On stage? Yes Prince was an eccentric cocky little mofo but his talent backed it all up. Until late last year, Jonetta had been involved not just as a parent but also as his manager. Mother and son had parted professional company once before, though she was reinstated after the comparative commercial failure of Here I Stand, the followup to Confessions. But in March last year, they split again.

I can have many managers, but I can only have one mother. And having been introduced to these new stages of my life where I do need that support, that's where I need her.

Among those new stages have been the birth of his two sons, his impending divorce, and the death of his father. Usher and his father were estranged, then reconciled — but it is a source of regret to the singer that his father never got to meet the fifth Usher Raymond.

But he didn't make it. There's not a day that I don't wish my dad at least got a chance to see my son, who's the fifth Usher Raymond. A lot of times, names were appointed to workers — or, rather, slaves — based off of things that they do.

So the first Usher — my great-grandfather — could potentially have been an usher. Kinda hard to fathom, that one would be named based off of his duty, but that is the lineage of this black skin that I wear. He chuckles a little, aware of the element of pretension in the phrasing. Often portrayed in print as a truculent or bad-tempered interviewee, Usher is today charming and lucid. While prone to flights of hyperbole — at one point he compares himself to Da Vinci and Picasso, and he occasionally refers to himself in the third person — he always manages to laugh at his own preposterousness.

All of it is a life lesson. There are no mistakes: there is only an opportunity to do better, or learn more. Don't be overwhelmed by what lies in the future, and don't get caught up on the past: live the best you can in each and every moment, and be historic in everything you do.
